Can't log out??
I have two XBox Live accounts on my Xbox (One, which I can't seem to find a forum for, but they're sort of related), one for myself and one for my kids. I made the mistake of logging in to my Plex Home account via my kids' profile, and then trying to get myself logged in on the same Plex account to my Xbox Live profile. All I get now is the "Can't find Server" message when I try opening Plex. My kids are able to access my Media Server with no problems, which I really don't want since they have access to the entire library, not just the kids content.
I was able to log them out by going into my Plex Account settings, finding the Single Sign On tab, which had my kids' Xbox Live profile there, and removing it. Now whenever I open Plex on the Xbox using their account, it prompts me to enter a pin on the web. But when I open Plex using my profile, I still get the "Can't find Server" error and I have no way of resetting it. There's no other Single Sign On accounts on my Plex Account page, and there's no way to access any settings in the Xbox Plex app. I have no way to reset my profile to allow me to associate our Plex Home with my Xbox Live profile. Anyone have any ideas?

Is there a timeline for Xbox 360 5.1 audio support to be released?
Hello all, this is my first post. I have seen that there have been a few posts for work arounds to get 5.1 audio to work on the Xbox 360 but none really end up using the Plex app by the end of the fix. The Plex official word on the matter is currently that it is not supported (https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204103633-What-media-formats-are-supported-). My question is, will it ever be updated, if so when (or rough timeline), and if you do have information on the matter where did you get your information? Thanks in advance!

Is Plex on Xbox 360 utilizing 1080p resolution
I have been told that the Plex app for Xbox 360 is limited to 720p resolution because of Xbox 360 limitations, but I have my Xbox 360 connected via HDMI and the resolution set to 1080p. So is Plex downscanning my 1080p videos to 720p in order to play on an xbox 360 which is set to 1080p? This doesn't make any sense. Is there anything that explains the limitation and if in fact it is only playing at 720p? Is there a way to force 1080p on the Plex media server for the xbox 360?

Shows and artwork are not showing up properly after plex server version 1.0.3.2461
Hi there I have been having problems when I have been installing new TV episodes onto my server. It seem to only happen on my xbox 360 when trying to view them. On any version 1.0.3.2461 and below it seems to work fine. The Shows season and artwork is showing up fine on the xbox 360 with this old version of plex, but when ever I try a newer version the shows will not show up and only generic artwork covers are shown. The new videos are encoded in .mp4. I have been using this old version of plex for a while now but it does not seem to get fixed in the most resent versions. Does anyone have a work around for this problem. Thanks.

How can Plex for Xbox 360 play the Optimized version of a file?
So I optimized a show so my parents could watch it on my old XBOX 360. But Plex still picks the file it has to transcode both audio and video for eventhough I have a Direct Play version.

When is compatible media transcoded anyway?
I am having issues with streams being needlessly transcoded for XBox 360.
My media file uses the following encoding:
Format: Matroska (.mkv)
Overall bitrate: 1297 kb/s
Video: AVC (x264), High@L4, 1280x720, 23.976 constant frame rate.
Audio: AAC, 64.0 kb/s, 2 channels
Why are both video and audio streams being transcoded for the XBox 360 player? Video: Transcode (h264) Audio: Transcode (aac)
I know directplay isn't possible on Xbox 360, so I expected the container format to be transcoded. But my CPU is melting whenever I try to play this movie with my XBox 360. It works fine on other players and direct streams as expected.
Is there some easy way to test the compatibility with different Plex Clients?

PLEX on 2 XBOX 360's
So i just got PLEX up and running. Pretty slick however I have my first problem. I paid for Plex Pass and got PLEX installed on my 360. Tested working great. I go down to basment and add it to that XBOX 360. works great however when i go back to my first xbox its asking me to sign in again. I do, and for fun go check 2nd xbox. its asking me to sign in again as well. Why can't i be signed in on both of my xbox 360's?

Why is my iPhone app and Firefox browser not playing to my Xbox 360
A couple weeks ago, I ran the update for the server client on my Win7pro pc. Since then, I can no longer control my Xbox Plex with my iPhone app and have never been able to control it with Firefox. I was using Xbox Glass to start the app and then the Plex app to choose music. I do not like having to switch video source to change my music. It works correctly if I use my Xbox controller. I re-downloaded the Xbox app to no avail. Please fix this issue or tell me how to fix it.

5.1 Audio Not Working
Similar to another question that was posted, but I am not getting 5.1 audio from Xbox One or Xbox 360. I have MPEG 2 File (WTV container), with AC3 5.1 audio. When played through other apps on Xbox (media center, video player, etc.) I am getting the 5.1 audio, but when played through PLEX, I am not getting the surround sound.
Are there other containers and codec's that just work with 5.1 audio, or is it a problem across the board? Sounds like this may be a known issue? Is there a rough time-frame for resolution?
My X360 is feeding via HDMI into a 5.1 receiver. M Xbox One is feeding via HDMI directly to the TV (because my receiver does not support 4K pass through) and then digital audio out back to my 5.1 receiver. But in both cases I am not getting surround sound. On the X360 Plex app it tells me AC3 5.1, but when comparing the sound to the media center playing of the same video clip, it is obviously not surround.

XBOX 360 Player issues
Hey folks. I have had some weird issues appear in the past 48 hours with the Xbox player. Video files that previously worked fine for years, and as recently as of Monday 11/14 are now experiencing audio desync in any video file that uses mp3 audio. Additionally I can no longer seek in these video files, attempting to do so just starts it from the beginning again (With the audio desync)
The audio desync itself quite odd; Not only does the audio start before the videoplays, the audio starts ahead of itself; the best example I can give is a show that always starts with a narrator saying "Previously on so-and-so"; it completely skips ahead of this right into the intro music.
I was previously running the latest PMS build and have tried downgrading to multiple 0.9.16.x and 0.9.17.x builds with no change. Changing the streaming quality either restarts the video (with the same desync) or it will fail and give a server communication error.
When playing the files the server reports Video Transcode (h264), Audio Direct play. Again, the issue is only with .avi files that have mp3 audio.
This problem is really throwing me for a loop as aside from adding some more files to my library, I have not altered anything since I watched the last episode in this series.
Please let me know if there's any other info you need.

Shuffle Issue on Xbox One (and other players)
Hello,
I'm having an issue with the shuffle feature on xbox one (this is happening elsewhere as well. reddit thread link posted below).
When I hit shuffle on a TV show that has 100+ episodes, it usually only plays the same 10-15 episodes each time. It doesn't seem to be truly random. Last night I hit shuffle 3 times and it tried to play the same episode each time.
Is there any fix for this planned?

Star Wars Rebels show page not displaying correctly
Although seasons all appear OK on the server side, including correct cover images, on the client side show page I get four season boxes: "All", specials, 1, & 2, with season 3 missing. Also, all boxes on the client side show the tvdb image rather than the correct season covers as it does on the server side.
Season 3 episodes are there, named correctly, and show up under "All", and season 3 itself shows OK under the "recently added" page, just not on the show page. That said, is there a way to get the client side show page to reflect what I see on the server side?
Side note, it all looks good from my iPhone client, so this effect seems limited to the show page view on my Xbox 360, perhaps a useful clue.

Hi all,
I have some trouble with Plex app in my Xbox 360.
It displayed this message with some movies "there was an error communicating with your Plex server with some movies"
I have 12 movies, all encoded with the same codec. But with some, when I want to view them, it shows me this message above.
I have everything well configured (server, app, ...) My Plex server is located on LAN (192.168.. with 32400 opened)
Would someone have had the same concern and would have found a solution, apart from removing the movie that can not be read?

The last season of series is missing and the covers of the all seasons have the same image.
This problem is only with 360 app, it work fine on Android, iPad and PC.
i've test to clear cache and "format" hdd, but nothing...

WMC + PLEX -> XBOX360 = Beautiful Convergence - Please support
I thought I would join in on this Xbox 360 support train.
I use Xbox 360s as extenders for my WMC Server and they work great. I can get to Plex and Netflix through the Xbox, and the WAF is high. I don't have to switch sources, and I use 1 remote.
There are not too many other ways to integrate Cable Live TV, Neftflix and Plex into one box, and it would be a darn shame if the Plex Devs abandon what might be the most elegant media solution available.
Stop it with the support evey latest gimmick in the search for more money, and get behind some of the most stable and well vetted platforms out there like Xbox 360.
If this is a problem with what Microsoft lets developers do on their platform, come out and say that. Ignoring your existing users is just bad business.

Xbox 360 and 5.1 Surround Sound Audio
Why does the PLEX app for Xbox 360 not support surround sound? Consider the following:
- I have a .wmv file with a WMA Pro 5.1 audio stream (validated through mediainfo).
- The media file displays as 720p WMA Pro 5.1 in the Plex App on the XBox 360.
- English (WMA pro 5.1) is displayed as the audio format when playing the media file in PLEX.
PLEX continues to play the media file in 2.1 audio only. I can take the same exact file, put it on a USB stick and plug it directly into the Xbox and the media file plays in full surround sound as expected.
Why does the PLEX app not play the file in 5.1 audio?
